West Cape Howe Shiraz Two Steps 2018

This has lovely mouth filling, juicy, dark plum fruit flavours typical of our cool climate grown Shiraz. These generous, sweet fruit flavours are balanced by the slightly charry, lightly drying tannins picked up during its oak maturation. There are lifted, lightly spicy characters with a hint of pepperiness, which sit well with the wines gentle acidity. It is a fragrant, well flavoured wine that was bottled relatively early to retain its fresh fruit characters, then matured in bottle for over 12 months to become well integrated. Very approachable now and will also reward further cellaring, eg 2 6 years. Serve with an Asian style beef dish.
