Wine Description
The Villa Calcinaia Chianti Classico 2019 has a ruby red colour with garnet shading. It is made from a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo grapes, which are certified organic and handpicked. On the nose, it is very aromatic and savory, with notes of bright red fruit, roses, violets, and dried leaves. You may also find notes of cherry, ripe fruit, redcurrant, fresh herbs, and a ‘meaty/charcuterie’ character. On the palate, the wine is supple and dry, with a medium body and a well-balanced structure. It features round fruit flavours, refreshing acidity, and well-integrated tannins.
