The Tolaini estate was established by Pierluigi Tolaini, a Tuscan native who emigrated to Canada in 1956. After a successful career in transportation and logistics in North America, he returned to his homeland in 1998 to pursue his dream of making great wine, acquiring the Montebello and San Giovanni estates. Tolainis philosophy is based on the fundamental principal that ‘the best fruit produces the best wine’.
Wine Description
The wine exhibits a dark, bright ruby colour. The nose is vibrant and complex, offering aromas of ripe cherry, blood orange, and violet, layered with notes of tobacco, leather, and Tuscan herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied, robust, and dense, continuing with a dark berry profile and accents of bay leaf and mint. It is a complex wine with incontestable structure, supported by compact yet sweet, firm, and dusty tannins.
