Tate Merlot Spring Street 2018

The Spring Street Merlotexhibits a dark purple core with a moderate purple rim. The nose has big black plum, red cherry and red liquorice with lighter elements of cinnamon and caramel. The wine is so soft and silky on the palate where the blueberry pie, brown sugar and cherry compote appear. The tannins are soft and round complemented by some fresh acidity. There is a long finish to this wine whichwill age wonderfully over the next 8-9 yearsor isvery drinkable now.Pair with casseroles, meatloaf or braised short ribs.
