WINEMAKER’S NOTES:

45% Pinot Meunier, 40% Chardonnay, & 15% Pinot Noir

TASTING NOTES:The NV But Noir is a blend of 45% Pinot Meunier, 40% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir, based on 2018 with 40% of reserve wines. Reductive flint rises promisingly to reveal shy apple tart notions. The palate has bright, brisk mousse on a very streamlined, Pinot-focused body, still with that reductive smokiness. Direction and drive imbue this with a lot of energy and real freshness. Perfect Pinot-driven apero. Dosage is 8gr/L.– Vinous, 90 pts.
