Wine Description
The 2023 Luigi Einaudi Dolcetto di Dogliani is a vibrant expression of the Dolcetto grape. It displays a deep ruby red colour with violet hues. On the nose, it offers fresh aromas of raspberry, cherry, and wild strawberry, complemented by subtle notes of underbrush and a hint of almond. The palate is medium-bodied and dry, featuring juicy red fruit flavours, lively acidity, and soft tannins that lead to a pleasantly lingering finish with a characteristic almond note. This wine is crafted from 100% Dolcetto grapes sourced from estate vineyards surrounding the village of Dogliani, situated on calcareous marl and clay soils with south to southwest exposures. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by malolactic fermentation and a brief period of ageing before release.
