Hickinbotham Cabernet Shiraz ‘The Peake’ 2020

First planted in 1971 to dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyard sits in the hills of Clarendon, at the upper limit of Australias revered McLaren Vale winegrowing region. The vineyard historically produced fruit for many of Australias iconic producers like Penfolds, Hardys, and Clarendon Hills, and was not bottled under its own label until 2012.

The Peake expresses aromas of blueberry pie, Asian spices, vanilla and pain grille; with the whole package following through on the palate with flavours of dark chocolate covered espresso beans. Fine tannins and balanced acidity contribute to a lingering finish.
