Dutcher Crossing Chardonnay 2023

This is a great example of Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley region, hitting on all cylinders. It pours golden yellow in colour and offers notes of fresh butter, golden delicious apple, and a touch of lemon on the nose. On the palate it really comes alive, hitting first with bright acidity followed by juicy lemon, pear, honeysuckle, and gentle, oaky butter, all coupled with a creamy mouthfeel. Light, golden delicious apple follows along with a touch of black pepper, and minerality enters on the medium to long finish. This is a flavourful, complex wine that demonstrates a great balance between notes of fruit, acidity, and oak. For fans of California Chardonnay, its a winner.
