The 2020 Seleccin de Bodega Malbec is crafted from grapes grown in the Alluvia Vineyard, situated at 1,350 metres above sea level in Gualtallary. The vineyard’s poor, well-drained soils, composed of alluvial rocks with calcium carbonate, sand, and chalk, contribute to the wine’s distinctive character.
This Malbec displays a deep violet hue. On the nose, it offers complex aromas of berries, graphite, black cherries, and spices. The palate reveals great concentration, firm tannins, fresh acidity, and a long finish . Aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak barrels, it possesses a robust structure and is suitable for aging up to 15 years.
