Domaine de l’Enclos Chablis ‘La Fourchaume’ Premier Cru 2023

From the rolling limestone hills of northern Burgundy, France, comes this elegant Premier Cru Chablis by Domaine de l’Enclos. Based in the heart of Chablis, the domaine is led by the Bouchard brothers, Romain and Damien, who converted their family vineyards to organic farming and founded Domaine de lEnclos in 2015. With a deep respect for terroir and minimal intervention, they aim to express the purity and minerality of Chablis in each bottle.

This 2023 La Fourchaume reveals a pale gold hue with green reflections. The nose is vibrant and lifted, offering classic Chablis aromas of crushed oyster shell, white flowers, lime zest, and wet stone. On the palate, it is taut and precise, featuring a saline core wrapped in notes of lemon curd, green apple, and fresh herbs. The wine has a medium body with razor-sharp acidity and a lingering, mineral-driven finish. Made entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils, it captures the tension and energy typical of the Fourchaume climat.
