All Dom Prignon is a vintage Champagne, meaning it is produced from a single year’s harvest, an expression of the creative ambition to bear witness to that year’s unique character. The Champagne House’s name honours Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Prignon, who was appointed procurator at the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668 and strived to make ‘the best wine in the world’.
Wine Description
The bouquet is elegant and tactile, unfolding in a delicate, powdery aromatic braid. Aromas include crisp stone fruit, tangerine oil, pear, almonds, buttered toast, and clear honey, with nuanced notes of mint, eucalyptus, vetiver, orange blossom, and a hint of salinity and toast. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied, ample, and seamless, presenting a combination of delicacy, linearity, and vivacity. The texture is refined, silky, and creamy-caressing, supported by bright acids and a pillowy, enveloping profile.
