Made from 100% Tempranillo (locally known as Tinto Fino), the 2023 Senda del Oro is sourced from estate-owned vines planted at elevations of 800850 meters in the heart of Ribera del Duero. The soils here are a mix of limestone, clay, and gravel, contributing both tension and depth. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, followed by short agingtypically 69 monthsin a mix of French and American oak barrels, mostly used, to preserve purity and fruit character. The 2023 vintage presents lifted aromatics of black plum, cherry skin, and thyme, with hints of graphite and cocoa on the palate. Its balance of energy and finesse makes it ideal for grilled meats, roasted mushrooms, or cured Manchego.
