From a windswept, south-facing plateau between Castellet and La Cadire, La Tourtine captures the raw power of Bandols limestone-clay terroir. Comprising roughly 85% Mourvdre with Grenache and Cinsault, the 2023 vintage reflects both concentration and restraintthanks to the vineyards sunny exposure tempered by the Mistral winds. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 1820 months in large old foudres, the wine maintains purity and structure without overt oak influence. Its a bottling built for the long haul, typically requiring several years to open fully, but offering profound rewards with age.
