ABOUT THIS WINE
Dark ruby in color and filled with fruity aromatics, the 2023 Pinot Noir is seductive but approachable. On the palate, a lively combination of bright cherries and raspberries is backed by notes of clove, vanilla and orange zest. Beneath these lively flavors is a warm underlayment of mushroom and forest floor. This is a light-bodied wine with zesty acidity and delicate tannins.
This wine is created from multiple Pinot Noir clones which St. Laurent specializes in. Small batch fermentation in stainless steel using several French yeasts is followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged in French oak for 9 months prior to bottling.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
St. Laurent began in 1985 as St. Laurent Land and Cattle, and they have been committed to producing the highest quality products possible with sustainable farming practices. The family expanded into winegrowing in 2017 with 14 acres of Pinot Noir Pommard clones, adding 11 more acres in 2019. That same year, they launched their winemaking adventure with their first release: the 2019 Pinot Noir, Block I. Now in its third generation, the family business is guided by Alex and his wife Heidi. The vineyard is poised to grow to over 250 acres, adding new varietals such as Chardonnay, Viognier, and Syrah.
