ABOUT THIS WINE
This Chteauneuf-du-Pape is crafted from a blend of traditional grape varieties, predominantly Grenache, Syrah, Mourvdre, and Cinsault, sourced from 93 hectares of vineyards spread across 38 distinct parcels within the appellation. The diverse terroir contributes to the wine’s complexity and depth. Vinification involves modern techniques with rigorous selection to ensure quality, and the wine is aged in concrete vats to preserve its fruit character and enhance its supple texture. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with meat dishes in sauce or grilled meats, making it a delightful choice for both casual and formal dining.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Domaine du Vieux Lazaret, established in 1748, is one of the oldest and largest estates in Chteauneuf-du-Pape, encompassing approximately 100 hectares of vineyards. The estate’s name traces back to the 18th century when a Lazarist hospice existed in the village, providing comfort and shelter to the needy. Today, the Quiot family, with over 200 years of winemaking heritage, continues to manage the estate, upholding a legacy of producing wines that reflect the rich history and diverse terroir of the region.
