The 2023 vintage of Domaine A.F. Gros’s Savigny-ls-Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Guettes is a quintessential Burgundian Pinot Noirrefined, terroir-driven, and precise. Grown on the eastern slopes of Savigny-ls-Beaune, the Clos des Guettes vineyard sits on limestone-rich soils with excellent drainage and southern exposure, ideal for producing wines of both aromatic lift and structural finesse. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts, followed by levage in French oak barrels (approximately 30% new) for 1214 months, preserving the wines purity and elegance while adding gentle complexity.
The nose offers layered notes of ripe red berries, rose petal, and hints of sandalwood and earth. The palate follows with silky tannins, refreshing acidity, and a core of crunchy red fruit, finishing with a mineral-laced persistence.
