This Pinot Noir is crafted from own-rooted vines planted in 2007, situated in areas cooled by Pacific winds. The 2022 vintage reflects the unique terroir of the San Luis Obispo Coast, benefiting from the cool climate and diverse soils. The wine is fermented with natural yeast, adhering to minimal intervention winemaking practices to preserve the purity and character of the fruit.
Phelan Farm, with roots dating back to the 1850s, is located in Cambria, California. In 2019, Rajat Parr began leasing the farm, introducing a vision focused on creating a healthy ecosystem through regenerative farming practices. The vineyards are diversified with a selection of cool-climate grape varieties from Europe, particularly the Jura and Savoie regions, while retaining many of the original plantings.
