Les Pzerolles is one of Pommards northernmost Premier Cru sites, lying just above Les Grands Epenots and bordering Volnay. Its higher elevation, lighter clay-limestone soils, and cooler exposition give rise to a more refined and aromatic style of Pommardoften noted for its floral lift and supple tannins rather than brute force. In the hands of Joseph Voillot, a master of understatement and terroir purity, the vineyard delivers a wine of great balance and aging potential.
The 2022 vintage offered ideal ripening conditions: warm but not excessive, with healthy yields and vibrant natural acidity. Voillots winemaking is traditional and low-interventionfermentation with indigenous yeasts, gentle extraction, and levage in mostly older oak barrels (no more than 1520% new). The result is a wine that speaks clearly of its origin: lifted aromatics, textural finesse, and mineral precision.
