This wine comes from a 0.32-hectare plot of Latricires-Chambertin, where the vinesplanted in 1961, 1971, and 1981grow in shallow limestone and marl soils. Located at the southern end of the Chambertin cluster, the vineyards cooler exposition contributes to the wines restraint and finesse, even in warmer vintages like 2022.
Vinification follows the domaines traditional, low-intervention approach: spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, gentle extraction, and aging in French oak with minimal new wood. The 2022 vintage expresses fine red fruit purity, floral lift, and a savory, stony character that deepens with time. Decant if drinking young, or cellar for 1020 years to fully experience its evolution.
