The 2017 Brut Blanc de Blancs Special is an attractive wine that shows the mid-weight style of that year. All the elements are nicely balanced, but the 2017 is ultimately described as a wine that captures all of the Hbrart signatures in a slightly attenuated fashion. There’s plenty of brightness in the citru and floral flavors. Drink this over the next handful of years.

The Hbrart wines are truly of both place and person, the kind, welcoming and generous qualities that Jean-Paul Hbrart exudes can be seen in all of his Champagnes. Jean-Paul Hbrart took over Marc Hbrart from his father in 1997. His father had been producing estate bottled wines since 1964 and joined the Club Trsors in 1985 Jean-Paul has slowly developed the estate in the last 20 years to one of the very finest grower estates in the Marne. The basis for these outstanding wines are the privileged holdings in A, including the newly purchased plots in Le Lon, Mareuil-sur-A, and Dizy in the Grande Valle as well as Avize, Oiry and Chouilly in the Cte and recently acquired vineyards in Louvois in the Montagne.
