The 2012 Nikolaihof “Steinterrassen” Grner Veltliner from the Wachau region in Austria is a remarkable expression of biodynamic winemaking and long-term maturation. Nikolaihof is renowned for its biodynamic farming practices, having been Demeter certified since 1998. The estate spans 22 hectares in the Wachau region, with vineyards planted on primary rock soils and cultivated without the use of herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. The Saahs family, who have owned the estate since 1894, continue to uphold traditions of natural fermentation and long lees contact, producing wines with exceptional depth and character.
