ABOUT THIS WINE
The 2011 Via Tondonia Reserva was produced using traditional methods with grapes sourced from the estates iconic vineyard in the Rioja Alta subregion. After hand-harvesting in October, the wine underwent fermentation in large wooden vats with indigenous yeasts. It was then aged for six years in American oak barrels, followed by an additional two years of bottle aging before release. This extended aging process allows the wine to develop its complex flavors and harmonious structure, making it a standout example of Lopez de Heredia’s dedication to long-aging wines. The wine was bottled in the 1.5L magnum format, which will continue to evolve gracefully over the coming decades.
