Domaine des Carlines Chardonnay Cotes du Jura ‘En Lya’ 2020

Patrick Ligeron’s Domaine des Carlines is quickly making an impression not only on Jura geeks, but also on fans of terroir in general. The domaine vineyard holdings lie partly within the Chateau-Chalone sub-AOC, each one delivering its own particular expression of the Chardonnay and/or Savagnin grapes.

The En Lya vineyard is a west-facing site on high limestone content. Despite the increased sun exposure, the fruit still retains impeccable acidity and balance thanks to the site’s high elevation. The wines are aged 12-15 months in barrel with spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
