With an ideal eastern exposure, the land is bathed with morning sun and benefits from natural shade in the hot afternoons, and cool breezes from the San Pablo Bay flow constantly across the land. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blankiet Estate Proprietary Red is straight-up incredible, with medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of cassis, graphite, lead pencil shavings, and tobacco leaf. It reminds me of a great vintage of Chteau Lafite with its elegance and purity, and it builds slowly on the palate, with ripe tannins, a seamless mouthfeel, and a great finish.
