The 2020 El Enemigo Semilln is a white wine from Mendoza, Argentina. Sourced from old-vine Semilln, this wine showcases the regions unique terroir and the innovative winemaking of El Enemigo.
Vineyard and Production
The grapes come from a 70-year-old vineyard in Agrelo, Lujn de Cuyo, located at 930 meters above sea level. The high altitude and calcareous soils contribute to the wines freshness and minerality. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts to preserve purity. The wine ages for 15 months in oak barrels, with 20% undergoing aging under a veil of flor, a winemaking technique that enhances texture and imparts saline and nutty characteristics.
