Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is the product of very old vines; in this instance, the vines were planted 50 to 90 years ago (as of 2019). The result is one of the most powerful wines in the cellar that shows dark, almost somber fruit, a wine that is reticent in its youth and quite profound with seven to ten years of age.

Medium-bodied, big intense bouquet of black cherry, blueberries, wet earth, leather, violets, and a whiff of menthol. Good fruit on the palette. Balance of acidity and tannins.
