Founded in the early 19th century by Louis Gaspard d’Estournel, the estate is renowned for its exotic architecture and pioneering spirit. Today, it is owned by Michel Reybier, who has invested significantly in precision viticulture and cutting-edge winery technology to honour the chteau’s bold identity.
Wine Description
The 2022 vintage of Chateau Cos d’Estournel is a compelling expression of Saint-Estphe’s terroir, boasting a deep garnet-purple colour. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, violets, crushed rocks, and exotic spices. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with a velvety texture and firm but polished tannins. Flavours of black cherry, cedar, cocoa, and graphite are supported by vibrant acidity and a long, powerful finish.

Food Pairing
This bold yet refined Bordeaux pairs beautifully with roasted rack of lamb, beef Wellington, or aged ribeye with a red wine reduction. Earthy mushroom risotto and truffle-infused dishes also complement its savoury depth. This pairing highlights the wines depth and character.
