France Bordeaux Pauillac. Chteau Pichon Longueville Baron is a prestigious Second Growth estate from the 1855 classification, known for its powerful yet refined expressions of Pauillac. Owned by AXA Millsimes since 1987, the chteau combines modern precision with deep-rooted tradition, producing wines that are both age-worthy and elegant.
The 2022 vintage displays a deep, opaque ruby colour. The nose bursts with aromas of crme de cassis, ripe black cherries, sweet dark berries, lilac, liquorice, and subtle pencil shavings. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, layered, and velvety, with excellent concentration and precision. The structure is defined by ripe, polished tannins and an elegant freshness, leading into a long, persistent finish with notes of graphite and cigar box.

This wines depth and structure pair beautifully with grilled ribeye steak, roast lamb with rosemary, or braised short ribs. Earthy dishes such as wild mushroom ragout also complement its complexity.
