Bodegas Caro is a collaboration between two renowned winemaking families: Catena from Argentina and Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) from Bordeaux. This partnership unites Argentine Malbecs intensity with Bordeauxs finesse, creating a uniquely elegant expression of Mendozas terroir. The 2019 vintage showcases the regions exceptional growing conditions and the winerys commitment to crafting age-worthy wines of balance and complexity.
Wine Description
A blend of 64% Malbec and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, all sourced from Mendozas high-altitude vineyards, this wine embodies the best of both varieties. It displays a deep ruby hue, with intense aromas of blackcurrant, violets, tobacco, and balsamic notes. The palate is elegant and structured, featuring layers of dark berries, graphite, and subtle spice, supported by fine-grained tannins and a long, refined finish. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels, this wine has excellent aging potential, drinking beautifully now but evolving gracefully over the next decade.

Food Pairing
This wine pairs wonderfully with grilled lamb, beef tenderloin, and game meats, as well as aged cheeses. The combination enhances the wines depth and structure, making for an exceptional dining experience.
Vintage Quality
The 2019 vintage benefitted from a cooler summer in Mendoza, preserving the wines freshness and balance. This allowed for a slow, even ripening of the grapes, resulting in a wine of remarkable elegance and depth, widely considered one of Bodegas Caros finest vintages.
