ABOUT THE WINE
This 2024 Chillable Red is made from 100% Grenache, sourced from an 8yearold bushvine parcel on decomposed granite soils on the slopes of Groenberg Mountain in the Wellington appellation. The grapes were handpicked and processed in three separate components: a portion was directpressed in a BlancdeNoir style, the bulk fermented as a traditional skinfermented red, and a third portion underwent 24hour skin contact and a saignestyle juice drawoff. Natural (indigenousyeast) fermentation for 1418days, followed by malolactic fermentation, then aged for 9months in older French oak vats (2,600L) with no new oak.Aromatically it presents red cherries, raspberries and a hint of fresh herbs; on the palate the texture is lighttomedium bodied, soft tannins, vibrant acidity and a finish that stays clean and refreshing.Suggested to serve lightly chilled.Pair with grilled salmon or lightspiced tapas, summer fried chicken, or charcuterie.
