This 2022 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a blend of estate-grown fruit from Peays certified organic vineyard located just four miles from the Pacific Ocean, perched above a coastal ridge in the far northwestern reaches of Sonoma County. The cool, fog-laden climate and rocky marine soils yield a wine of vivid tension and depth. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in a restrained percentage of new French oak, the wine emphasizes nuance over power. It opens with aromas of crushed raspberries, blood orange, tea leaf, and damp earth, followed by a palate that balances red fruit vibrancy with savory complexity. The texture is lithe and polished, with integrated tannins and brisk acidity giving it both elegance and ageability.
