ABOUT THIS WINE

2006 was a solar vintage, both generous and capricious. Indeed, various episodes of hail, frost and rain have marked the particularly hot climate, especially in the summer. Henriot Cuve Hemera is a blend of the six founding crus, with each represented in equal part, through a singular year, that makes it a Millsime. Each Vintage of this Champagne is a continuation of the Maison Henriot historical terroirs, where the character of the year is revealed. The terroirs offer a base, a structure, a charisma, a hierarchy. The year offers intensity, a division of roles, an expression and a translation.

50% Chardonnay – 50% Pinot Noir.

Crus: Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly-Champagne in Montagne de Reims and Avize, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in Cte des Blancs 100% Grands Crus. At least 12 years of aging. Dosage 5g/L

Henriot Cuve Hemera 2006 presents a construction loyal to its historical terroirs, made of amplified contrasts and intense demonstration through the year 2006. The foundation brought by Verzy gave strength. The elegance of Verzenay is expressed with class and distinction. The expression of Mailly-Champagne undoubtedly gave the tone. The generosity of Chouilly was abundant. The glacial profile of Avize became polar, while Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger was blinded by its brilliance. The nose is expressive, textured, round, and generous while showing class and elegance. Precise, structured, and definitely present on the palate, lingering on the finish with a persistent and fleshy structure. The ensemble is charismatic and noble. Alice Ttienne, Cellar Master of Maison Henriot
