Crafted in the prestigious Champagne region of France, Armand de Brignac is produced by the Cattier family, who have owned and cultivated vineyards in Chigny-les-Roses since 1763. The brand was revived by Sovereign Brands in the early 2000s, and famously acquired by Shawn Jay-Z Carter in 2014, later forming a partnership with LVMH in 2021. Armand de Brignacs commitment to traditional craftsmanship and quality is evident in every detail, from hand-applied pewter labels to the selection of top-quality grapes from premier and grand cru vineyards.
The Gold Brut is a multi-vintage Champagne composed of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Meunier. It displays a vibrant, golden straw colour in the glass with an elegant mousse. Aromas of peach, apricot, and red berries are complemented by hints of citrus, brioche, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and creamy with a lush mouthfeel. Flavours of ripe orchard fruits are layered with vanilla, toasted almonds, and a touch of honey, leading to a long, silky finish marked by finesse and complexity.
Perfectly suited to refined dishes such as lobster with drawn butter, seared scallops, or duck pt with toasted brioche. It also pairs well with creamy cheeses or truffle risotto. This pairing highlights the wines depth and character.
