Founded in 1986 by Michael Etzel, Beaux Frres is a family-owned estate nestled atop Ribbon Ridge in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The winery is renowned for its commitment to biodynamic farming and minimal intervention winemaking, producing Pinot Noirs that authentically express their terroir. The Beaux Frres Vineyard, planted in 1988, features own-rooted Pommard and Wdenswil clones alongside Dijon clones on phylloxera-resistant rootstocks, all cultivated on ancient marine sedimentary soils.
Wine Description: The 2021 vintage presents a medium ruby-purple hue. On the nose, it unfolds with layers of wild blackberry, blueberry, and dark cherry, complemented by notes of forest floor, licorice, and floral potpourri. The palate is light-bodied yet concentrated, offering a silky texture with flavours of black cherry, red plum, clove spice, and rocky earth. Fine tannins and a mineral backbone lead to a long, floral finish.
