Blend and Production
The 2021 Chteau Ducru-Beaucaillou is composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. The grapes were harvested from September 21 to October 10, 2021. Vinification occurred in wooden tronconic tanks, and the wine is being aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep ruby/plum hue.
Nose: Aromas of pure crme de cassis, graphite, crushed stone, and violets, with subtle hints of tobacco and spicy oak.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied, deep, rich, and concentrated, with a beautiful mid-palate, ripe, building tannins, and a gorgeous finish.
